Q. Can I buy a cheaper spectator ticket if I don’t want to use the rides?

A. Unfortunately not, we don’t offer a spectators pass

Q. Can I bring food into the park?

A. For health and safety reasons – unfortunately, food hampers, braais and cooler boxes are not allowed into the park, however fruit and a 500ml water is allowed inside, but no ice.

Q. Can I purchase food within the park?

A. Yes, we have number of fast food restaurants for you to choose from within the park.

Q. Can I leave the park and return the same day?

A. You are welcome to leave the park and re-enter, provided you keep your wristband intact as it is your pass-out.That way you can enjoy all Village Walk food & activities and still make the most of your park visit.

Q. What is the difference between a day ticket and a season pass?

A. A day ticket is a single person ticket, redeemable for one single admission on a particular day.
a season/Platinum Pass is a single membership which provides entry into Sea World and Wet ‘n Wild during normal advertised operating hours.

Q. Am I able to upgrade my single day ticket to a season pass/Platinum Pass?

A. No! Platinum Passes are being discontinued.

Q. Are all rides included in the cost of entry?

A. Yes! If you have the Wet’ n Wild ticket, all the water rides are included.

Q. Are children allowed to visit the park on their own?

A. All children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Q. Is there somewhere secure where I can leave my belongings?

A. Lockers are available for hire inside Wet ‘n Wild.

Q. Can you reserve a seating area?

A. Cabanas are available for hire R300 (half day), R500 (full day) and all other seating within the park is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Q. If I buy a combo ticket can I go to both parks on the same day with my wristband?

A. Combo tickets are not available until further notice.

Q. Can I bring my dog into the park?

A. Unfortunately no pets are allowed into the park, unless the dog in question is a guide dog on a leash which will in turn require a SAAMBR staff member to view the dog and speak to the guest.

Q. Is smoking allowed in the park?

A. Please lookout for signage of designated smoking areas inside the park.

Q. Do you have a lost property department?

A. Yes, we have a comprehensive registry of lost and found items. If you lose your property, please complete our Lost and Found report book providing as much details as possible. We will contact you should we find your item.

Q. How much do I pay for my baby to come with?

A. Kids under 3 are FREE.

Q. Does a person in a Wheelchair have to pay entry into Wet ‘n Wild?

A. Yes. A ticket for a person in a Wheelchair for Wet ‘n Wild costs R37 (adult) and R29 (child/senior). T&Cs apply

Q. Can I bring my own camping chairs & umbrella into Wet ‘n Wild?

A. Yes. You can bring your own camping chairs & umbrella into Wet ‘n Wild. You are also able to hire them for R30 each. (Price subject to change without notice)

Q. Is there a height restriction for some of the slides?

A. Yes. A person must be 1.2 meters in height to be able to make use of the following 3 slides: Body Tornado, Drop Zone & Plunge.

Q. Is there a weight restriction for some of the slides?

A. There is no weight restriction however, there are certain manners that must be adhered to when using the slides e.g. sit in a specific way: no bent knees on a tube etc. Please be sure to listen to the lifeguards on duty.

Sea World

Q. Do you have any party packages?

Q. Can I visit the aquarium at night?

A. No. The After Dark offer is no longer available.

Q. When I buy a Sea World ticket do I only get to visit the aquarium?

A. A ticket to Sea World allows you entrance to the dolphin & seal shows, penguin presentations and also allows you to view the shark dives, ray feeds & the aquarium.

Q. Can I bring food into the park?

Q. Do I need to know how to swim to do the Shark Dive and Ocean Walker?

A. You don’t need to know how to swim to do the Shark Dive and Ocean Walker, it’s as easy as 1,2,3!

Q. Can I bring my own Camera?

A. You are more than welcome to bring your own camera.

Q. What age am I allowed to Meet a Dolphin?

A. Meet a Dolphin participants need to be 8 years or older.

Q. If I bring my own diving equipment will I get a discounted rate?

A. No, we don’t offer discounted rates and as a safety precaution you are required to use our equipment.

Q. Can I do the Ocean Walker & Shark Cage Dive if I am pregnant?

A. You cannot do the Ocean Walker if you are pregnant as it may affect the child due to the pressure but you can do the Shark Dive.

Q. How do I get to Sea Animal Encounter Island?

A. You can access the Island through Sea World or from the Village Walk beach arena.

Q. Do I have to pay to get to Sea Animal Encounter Island?

A. Entrance to Sea Animal Encounter Island is free if you enter from the Village Walk beach arena but you would need to pay to do the various activities.

Q. How old do you have to be to do the Ocean Walker & Xpanda Shark Dive?

A. Children as young as 12 years old, can do the Ocean Walker and Xpanda Shark Dive.

Q. How long does the Shark Dive take?

A. Anywhere between 10-15 minutes of an amazing adrenalin rush!

Q. Can I pay for entry with my debit card?

A. Debit and credit cards are allowed for payment but only some debit cards work for online purchases if you have this option enabled with your bank.

Q. Do you know when load shedding will take place?

A. We are block 13, please visit the Eskom website to check the load shedding schedule.

Q. What can you do at uShaka during load shedding?

A. The following parks will still be open even if there is load shedding: uShaka Village Walk, uShaka Sea World, uShaka Kids World, Sea Animal Encounters Island and Dangerous Creatures.

Q. How much does parking cost?

A. Parking A has an hourly rate & the first 30 minutes is free.
Parking B has a daily rate and must be paid for before entering.

Q. When are you having the R99 special again?

A. The R99 #BoredomMustFall Combo Tickets were a promotion that happens once a year. Please keep an eye on our social media pages to see current & upcoming events & promotions.
