Please ensure you have read our terms & conditions prior to your arrival to avoid any misunderstandings.

Please respect our employees & other guests.
We do not condone ill-mannered behavior/vulgar language of any sort. Viewing of the shark tank is strictly for diners only.
We are sit-down eatery; we do not serve beverages only.
Balloons & banners are not permitted unless the venue is booked exclusively as these accessories obstruct the view.
We believe a gratuity of 10% for our waiters is a fair reward for their service.
Please note that certain dishes cannot be altered due to pre-service preparation.
Guests with food allergies are to inform the manager/waiter prior to ordering so that our chef can prepare your meal according to your requirements.
We do not take responsibility for steaks cooked past medium-rare as the quality of beef can no longer be identified the longer it’s cooked.
Vacant/non-reserved “tank tables” will be allocated on a first come first served basis. No moving of tables or furniture. Tables are set according space & availability.
Should you have a legitimate complaint, please request to speak to the manager. Our managers can solve problems better today than on social media tomorrow.
No kids running around/standing/sitting on tables. We are a dining establishment not a playground.
You are free to walk around but please do not hover around other tables in order to view the shark tank, be considerate of other diners.
Meal waiting times can vary depending on the restaurants patron capacity, the busier we get, the longer the wait time.
If you wish to bring your own cake & consume it in the restaurant, a charge of R150 per cake will be applied to the bill..
Corkage fee is R150 per 750ml bottle of wine. BYO (bring your own) spirits & liqueurs is NOT permitted. Payment by cash or card. No cheques or EFT accepted.
No outside food & beverages allowed inside.

RESERVATIONS Please honour the time of your reservation
All tables are reserved for a maximum of 30 minutes from time of booking. Should you not arrive on time for your booking; your table will be released.
Should you be running late, kindly contact the restaurant on (031) 328 8037 to ensure your table is not released.
Bookings are essential in order to guarantee a seat, however walk-ins are welcome should we have vacant seats available.

All reservations are confirmed on the day of the booking via telephone or SMS. If we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
Tables of 10 people & above will be required to pay a deposit of R 150 per person which will be deducted from your bill on the day.
Kindly note that we only take reservations 1 month prior to arrival date, except for group/function bookings.
SEATING DESCRIPTIONS Tank Tables – tables positioned directly next to the shark tank exhibit.
Parallel Tank Tables (Second Row) – tables positioned downstairs with close proximity but not directly next to the shark tank exhibit.
Railing Tables – tables positioned on the upper level of the restaurant with close proximity but not directly next to the shark tank exhibit.
Ocean View Tables – tables positioned next to window with view of the ocean. Minimal view of the shark tank exhibit.
Our famous “Tank Tables” are reserved well in advance. Should they become available on the day, they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Due to the structural layout of the restaurant, we cannot guarantee where your seating will be as it will solely depend on the number of guests per table.
Large tables may be divided into a second table.
We regret having a strict reservations policy; however no-shows & cancelations result in a considerable loss to our business & an inconvenience to other potential diners.

GROUP BOOKINGS
All advanced group bookings are provisionally booked for 7 days pending payment. Should we not receive payment after 7 days, this constitutes automatic cancelation of the provisional booking.

AUDIO VISUAL, PA EQUIPMENT, ENTERTAINMENT
This is only permitted if the entire restaurant is booked exclusively. There are unfortunately no exceptions. This is to avoid an inconvenience to other diners. DJ’s, bands or any other form of entertainment, is not permitted unless it is approved by a manager. If this is approved, entertainment will end at the time agreed upon by the manager without exception. Controlled lighting is permitted (no strobe lights permitted) & sound levels will be controlled by the manager on duty. Should any of the rules be breached, sound will immediately be stopped. If the venue is not exclusively booked, we do not allow:
Balloons
Additional lighting
Hanging/suspended decor
Banners/posters/branding/signs/LED letters Rose petals on the floor
Table cloths/runners Candelabra’s
Tea light candles on the floor
Photographers with flashes & additional bright lights Film crews
Singers/dancers/performers
Additional tables for gifts/cakes

MENU
Kindly select the menu you wish to be served when booking. Please note that all food orders are taken by the waiters once all guests have arrived & seated. We ask that all guests remain in the seat assigned to them to avoid confusion as to where the food is served. Any guests that arrive late for the function will be opted to only have a main course & dessert. Should you have any dietary, religious or cultural requirements pertaining to the menu, please notify our reservations team upon booking.
There will be a surcharge of R 150 per person for any outside meals brought in that we do not cater for.

RESTAURANT POLICIES
It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to inform all their guests of restaurant rules & regulations mentioned above. Please ensure this is made very clear as we will not allow any rules to be breached due to guests not being informed.

BEVERAGES
Corkage fee is R 150.00 per bottle; this applies to all wines. BYO (bring your own) spirits/liqueurs/malts are not permitted.
Please note arrangements for the bar, beverages can be charged in three ways:
On consumption to the master account - Host to pay for all beverages (Full bar to account – There are no restrictions on any beverages)
Cash bar (Guests pay for their beverages)
Bar limit (This is set by you with any restrictions advised)
SEATING
Due to the structural layout of the restaurant the maximum guests per table is at the discretion of the manager on duty. Large tables may be divided into a separate table. The number of tables assigned to a group depends on the restaurants reservations. There are only rectangular tables. As per the structure of the venue it is not possible to make specific table structures. There are no exceptions to these regulations. Should the table you reserved be double booked for a later time, our reservations team will inform you of this & we ask out of courtesy to please vacate the restaurant 1 hour prior to the second seating. This is to allow for the turnaround setup of our dinner service. Please be considerate in this regard.

EXCLUSIVITY
Please note this is charged per number of open seats remaining in the restaurant @ R100 per seat. For example if you book exclusively for 60 guests, our restaurant seats up to 100 guests, you will be charged for the remaining unused 40 seats x R 100 = R4000
Should you occupy the restaurants full capacity; no venue hire will be charged. Décor is only permitted if the venue is booked exclusively.

SERVICE FEE
A discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to final food & beverage bill.


PAYMENTS
Kindly note that uShaka Marine World does not allow for accounts. All payments need to be settled in advance as per date stated on quotes, invoices & emails & the balance is due upon departure.
We can only confirm proof of payment once we have reviewed our company bank statement. This may take up to 48 hours to verify. This is for security purposes.
Reservations are confirmed when payment has been received. We do not accept cheques. Rates are inclusive of VAT.

VOUCHERS
We offer Cargo Hold vouchers as a means of payment.
Should you purchase a voucher from us the amount will be deducted from your bill on the day. In order to redeem the voucher, please ensure you produce the original voucher on the day. We do not accept screenshots or photocopies of Cargo Hold vouchers.
Should you not have the original voucher on the day, you will be liable to settle the bill in full until the voucher is redeemed & we will then refund you the amount of the voucher.

CANCELLATIONS
A 100% refund will be honoured for any cancellation or modification made by the guest no later than 48 hours prior the date of your booking.
In the case of late cancellations or no notification of modifications made by the guest or a no show, the full deposit per cancelled or absent guest will be forfeited & held by the restaurant.

REFUNDS
Kindly note that refunds can take between 7 - 30 days to be processed.
In order for us to process your refund, you will be required to provide the following: A certified copy of your I.D. book
Banking details on an official bank letterhead not older than 3 months

If we are unable to reach you on the day of the booking, please call the restaurant on the day of your booking to confirm or the booking will be released.


By making a reservation, you personally agree to be fully responsible for the reservation, including costs associated with the security/deposit and consumption of food and drink (if the bill is not paid for in full by any other guest(s) in your party).

We do not allow for tabs or accounts.

All food & beverages MUST be settled on departure on the day of your visit.

Due to the high demand of our tank & upper-level railing tables, we will allow a 30 minute grace period for late arrivals & thereafter will release the table & your preferred table will be relocated.
Should you be running later than 30 minutes, please contact the restaurant’s after hours number on (031) 328 8037 to avoid your table being released.

Due to limited space & availability of tank side & upper-level railing tables, we cannot always accommodate table’s right next to the tank. Tank Tables are reserved 2–3 weeks in advance.
If these tables become available they will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Cancellations
Should you cancel 24 hours or more before your reservation; a full refund will be honoured.
Should you cancel or decrease the number of diners inside of 24 hours prior to your booking time, no refund will be honoured.

NB: While we regret having a strict reservations policy, no-shows present a great inconvenience to other diners & a considerable loss to our business, therefore no refunds will honoured for no-shows as stated above.
